Synopsis
Anita (Vivian Chow) meets young teenager Mike (William Chan) online, and gets pregnant unexpectedly after their first date. She is torn between having an abortion and keeping the baby. Macy (Sandra Ng), a lawyer by profession, is bi-sexual and fears commitment. Robert (Eddie Cheung) runs a company next door to Macy's office. Macy finds out she is pregnant with Robert's baby. Macy and Anita meet when they sign up for counseling courses at "Mother's Choice." Despite twelve years of separation, they rekindle their passion for each other. Should they abort their babies or deliver them?

Ann Hui made her debut as a film director with The Secret and became a standard-bearer for the "Hong Kong New Wave". She directed over twenty films, winning awards for herself and the leading actors, including Silver Bear Award (Best Actress) for Josephine Siao in Summer Snow in Berlin IFF. Her other films include Song of the Exile (1990), Summer Snow (1995), Postmodern Life of My Aunt (2006), Night and Fog (2009) and others.
