Mom may not love me... The film depicts the delicate mind of a girl who tries to divert herself from loneliness by coming in touch with nature's tolerance and cruelness in the mountains. A debut feature of the most anticipated and innovative Turkish female director.
Synopsis
Zephyr, a strong-willed adolescent girl, spends her summer at her grandparents' country home on the foothills of Turkey's Eastern Black Sea Mountains. She roams around carefree and helps her grandparents with daily chores. All the while she deeply longs for her mother and hopes that she will soon come to take her home. Her mother finally shows up, but only to say farewell before going far away places for a volunteer work abroad. But Zephyr's determination not to let her mother go, no matter what, is so strong that it leads to a tragic consequence.

She was born in 1969, in Ordu, Turkey. She received her BA in English Literature from Istanbul University in 1992. Working as a literary translator since 1990, she worked full-time for Turkish film institutions as international relations manager between 1991-98. Her debut short film Poyraz premiered in the official competition at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Zephyr is her first feature film.

Seyma Uzunlar
She was born in Ordu in 1998. In 2006, she played the lead role in the short film Poyraz by Belma Bas. She attended to a creative drama workshop for children in Istanbul in 2008. She is currently in the sixth grade. Filmography: Boreas (2006, short-fiction), Zephyr (2010, feature).
Vahide Gordum
She was born in Izmir in 1965, studied acting at Dokuz Eylul University and began her career in Ankara Art Theatre in 1991. A popular stage, screen and TV actress, she won a Best Actress Award at the Altın Koza Film Festival with her performance in İlk Aşk.
