Synopsis
The brothers Reinhold and Guenther Messner climb the Nanga Parbat, the over 8,000 meter "naked mountain" in the Himalayas under the guidance of expedition leader Dr. Herrligkoffer, together with an elite group of international mountain climbers who intend to conquer the peak. The route leads over the legendary Rupal Wall, the highest steep face on earth. After a bad weather forecast, Reinhold Messner decides to make it to the top alone. But Guenther follows him. On the descent, the struggle for survival begins. Only Reinhold Messner makes it back to the camp alive...
