Introduction
A posthumous film by Claude Chabrol who passed away suddenly in September 2010. In a simple and refined style, the film portrays a detective on holiday, starring G. Depardieu, teaming up with Chabrol for the first time. The Nouvelle Vague giant, after a 50-year career, was still at his best. A must-see.

Born 1930 in Paris. Along with Francois Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol's name was famously associated with the Nouvelle Vague movement. He received the Rene Clair Award in 2005 for his incomparable achievements as a film director. He had over 80 directorial credits including "The Cousins" (1959), "The Cry of the Owl" (1987), "Story of Women" (1988), "The Bridesmaid" (2004). He passed away in September, 2010 at the age of 80.
