Synopsis
Camera in hand, a film director wanders the streets of a number of international cities whose festivals he is attending during the promotional tour of his film, in search of a character or plot for his next work. Recounted in the form of a travel log, Guest presents the record kept by this director. Pulsating under this apparently random criss-crossing of each of these entries, lies a film; the situation, the conflict, the character who is called upon to give form to the material. "The observed" manifests itself as the first, essential and inexhaustible phase of the cinema.
